Man kills net friend for 47,000 yuan ( 2003-09-11 12:47) (China Daily) A local jobless man has been
arrested on charges of stabbing a net friend to death, reports Shanghai Evening
Post.
Zhou, a young man from East China's Shandong Province, got to know Wang over
the Internet in July. The two became friends, sharing a common interest in
computers.
On August 12, Zhou called Wang and told him he was coming to Shanghai to buy
several computers.
Two days later when Zhou arrived, Wang arranged for him to stay at a guest
house. At some point, Zhou mentioned to Wang that he was carrying 47,000 yuan
(US$5,660) to make his purchases.
After Zhou fell asleep, Wang tried to steal the money, but Zhou woke up. Wang
then stabbed him 29 times with a dagger he had brought
along.
