Coin substitutes as primary-school seal ( 2003-09-10 12:42) (China Daily)
A private primary school in Wuhan resorted to using a 1-yuan coin to seal its
students' graduation documents, reports Wuhan Morning Post.
Wang Qiang, who graduated from Cailin Primary School this year, thought the
seal looked smaller than normal.
Closer inspection showed the seal was actually an imprint of a coin.
Wang also discovered that the signature of the headmaster and the name of
school were different from his school's.
School authorities later explained that they had applied for the right to
issue formal graduation documents, but the municipal educational bureau had not
approved the request.
