Greedy man resells telephone cards ( 2003-09-10 12:28) (China Daily)
A man who sold and then resold cellphone card accounts in a bid to make more
money was arrested by police on Sunday, reports Beijing Evening News.
In July, Feng Feng, who was in the clothing business, heard that the local
telephone company was issuing CDMA numbers and market demand was huge.
He then obtained 23 CDMA cellphone account cards through a connection and
sold them at a good price of 1,300 yuan (US$160) each.
But he was not satisfied. He called the phone company and requested that
service on six of the CDMA accounts be stopped, saying he had lost the numbers.
He then resold the numbers to other people. The original card owners reported
the incident to police after their services ended for no apparent
reason.
