More than 30 college students in the Haidian District were tried for stealing
during the first half of the year, reports Beijing Evening News.
Most of the student criminals committed theft after suffering some personal
setback or other difficulty, said Shang Xiuyun, a justice with the Haidian
District People's Court.
One college sophomore, a beautiful State-level athlete, began stealing from
female classmates after her boyfriend dumped her for someone else.
A young doctoral candidate became a burglar at a number of universities after
receiving administrative punishment for faking some documents.
