3-time bigamist, swindler gets 'life'

A bigamist who married three women in succession has been sentenced to life
in prison and ordered to pay 200,000 yuan (US$24,100) for swindling more than 20
people out of nearly 10 million yuan (US$1.2 million), reports Youth Daily.
Wei married Cao in 1986 and they had a daughter in Zhejiang. Two years later,
without bothering to divorce Cao he married Du, who also gave birth to a
daughter in Shanghai.
In 1996, Wei married Zhang, using a certificate issued by a particular work
unit that identified him as single.They had a son. But four years later, Wei and
Zhang ended their marriage.
From 1996 to 2001, Wei cheated more than 20 people out of a total of 9.88
million yuan through various lies and scams
