Watch out for 'fairy tale' virus ( 2003-09-04 12:21) (China Daily) Software company Kingsoft is
warning computer users about a new virus romantically entitled, "Fairy Tale of
Autumn", reports Beijing Star Daily.
"True love once stood before me, but I did not treasure it," begins the
email, repeating a line from a popular animated film. The virus gets into a
computer's hard drive and erases all the .asp, .htm and .html files, destroying
substantial amounts of data.
Experts at Kingsoft suspect the virus might be unleashed on September 18, the
day Japan began invading China in 1931, and caution users not to open
it.
