Woman in tiger cage ( 2003-08-28 15:18) (China Daily)
A woman stunned fellow visitors by walking into the tiger garden at a safari park in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province last Sunday, reports Yanzhao Metro News. At about 4 pm, a small tourist train pulled into the enclosure inhabited by more than 20 Northeastern China tigers. As the train passed through the enclosure, a 20-something woman suddenly jumped to the ground and began walking towards the tigers dozens of metres away, despite shouts and pleas from her fellow tourists to come back. Three tigers came at the woman, knocked her down and bit her. The wounded woman was saved by zoo keepers who used a jeep to drive off the animals. The woman, a Beijinger, suffered slight injuries to her shoulder and legs. When asked why she jumped into the tiger garden, she said she just wanted a thrill.
