Suicidal robbery victim revived

A young man who swallowed
more than 70 sleeping pills in a bid to end his life after he was robbed has
been resuscitated, reports Guangzhou Daily.
Wei, an 18-year-old job seeker from Liaoning Province, was found unconscious
in the Shenzhen Luohu Railway Station by a patrolling policeman on Sunday.
After regaining consciousness in hospital, Wei said he had lost his wallet
while dozing on a bus. He wandered the streets for two days after being
criticized by his girlfriend, with whom he shared a flat.
He initially swallowed 20 sleeping pills only to wake up feeling hungry and
ill. So he swallowed another 50 to make sure he would die, Wei
said.
