Dancer delays train over 1 hour ( 2003-08-27 14:57) (China Daily)
More than 1,000 passengers were delayed for an hour and a half at the
Changsha railway station on Monday after a mentally disturbed woman was found
dancing atop the train nearly half an hour before it was due to depart, reports
Oriental News.
The woman was spotted by police at about 7:20 pm. Several officers tried to
persuade her to get down, but the woman paid no attention.
As the train for Guangzhou was scheduled to leave at 7:45, the railway
station was forced to switch off the power to the railway lines in order to
remove the woman safely, delaying the departure.
When officers finally pulled the woman off the train, they realized she was
mentally disabled. The train eventually left at 9:10.
