Parents petition removal of headmaster ( 2003-08-25 11:38) (HK Edition) Some 260 parents of students
attending Chenjiatan Village Middle School have signed a petition demanding the
removal of the school's headmaster, citing various incidents of misconduct,
reports Xinhua.
Since July, the parents and some teachers at the school have expressed their
concerns to local educational authorities about headmaster Fu Kaixiao.
The petition listed seven suspected infractions, including pocketing
students' poverty-relief money and holding onto insurance premiums handed in by
students instead of delivering them to the insurance company.
Fu was also accused of gambling and wasting school funds eating and drinking.
The educational bureau of Ruanling County has promised to look into the
case.
