Tricycle drivers remove notice ( 2003-08-21 13:30) (China Daily)
Citizens have complained that tricycle drivers are doing a booming business
since they removed a sign from a bus stop announcing that several buses had
changed routes temporarily, reports Beijing Times.
"I waited for Bus 941 for more than half an hour at the Huahui Shopping Mall,
but it never arrived, and neither did Buses 803 or 847," said Shi. Eventually,
an elderly man passing by told him about the notice announcing the change and
that it had been torn off by the tricycle drivers.
The paper's reporter arrived at the bus stop on Tuesday afternoon to find
more people unaware of the change waiting for the buses.
A tricycle driver nearby admitted that they had removed the notice and that
business had picked up since then.
