Colleges discourage students from driving ( 2003-08-20 10:39) (China Daily) Officials with local
universities said they would rather students didn't drive during their college
years, after a Beijing school recently announced plans to open 200 parking
spaces for students and faculty members.
Shanghai Morning Post reports that Fudan University has a regulation
forbidding students from driving their cars to the school. Although other
universities do not have the same strict policy, most require those who do have
cars to apply for a special pass, but students can only park on campus free of
charge for one hour.
