Two people died and 28 were injured last Friday when the railing of a second-floor walkway between two buildings collapsed under the weight of people watching a motorcycle promotion show in Geyang, Jiangxi Province, reports Xinhua.

Qianrong Motor Co staged the promotional event on Zhongshan Road at about 3:20 pm. As it went on, the show attracted more and more people, many of whom found the walkway near the stage offered the best view.

But the railing gave way under the weight of so many viewers leaning on it. Some 30 people fell, two of whom later died in hospital. The injured included 11 children.
