Death penalty on anniversary

An unlucky couple's 13th wedding anniversary turned out to be the very day
they were both sentenced to death, reports Beijing Morning News.
Jin, the husband, got hooked on gambling in 2001. After losing most of the
family's savings, he persuaded his wife, Guo, to rob Li, a cabby who had
recently won money from Jin.
Guo asked Li to drive her to a secluded place on the night of February 20
while her husband secretly followed them on a motorbike.
When they arrived at the quiet spot, the couple stabbed and killed Li with a
dagger, taking his mobile phone and more than 100 yuan (US$12) in cash before
dumping his body. The pair were arrested fleeing to Hebei Province in Li's car.
Jin received the death penalty and Guo was given two years
probation.
