Looking happy to coach "Los Galacticos" of Real Madrid, Carlos Queiroz said in Kunming Saturday the preseason China tour is a challenge for the Spanish champions.

"This is not a normal preseason, it is different and we must find different solutions too," said the coach, who ran his first training session after the team arrived in Kunming, China for its first preseason training camp.

"We are glad to face this challenge, this is the main reason why Madrid is here. The best squad in the world would like to be in this situation now.

"We all understood everything and we are just thinking about doing a good training and meet the club's demands all over the world," he said.

Real Madrid, known as "Los Galacticos" because of their galaxy of talented players, landed here on Friday with a hope that their exposure will help them challenge the English Premier League's presence on jerseys, billboards and television screens in Asia.

Queiroz, however, said the non-sporting activities in this tour will not disorientate his team.

"There is a schedule for the training sessions, everything else will be decided according to this schedule," he said.

"The sporting preparation goes before the other activities of the tour. This should be very clear: the training and the games are the axis of all the other details," he said.

Queiroz praised his players' keenness to train. He said: "The first training session went fine. They are all in good shape after the vacation period, they feel good and are keen to start working. "
