Tenders to build seven major venues for the Beijing Olympics were announced to the public at a news conference at the Beijing International Hotel on October 25th.

The seven projects open for tenders include four venues within the Olympic Green. The three others are the Beijing Wukesong Culture and Sports Center, the Olympic Aquatic Park and the Equestrian Center. Beijing Deputy Mayor Liu Jingming said the city welcomes bids from China and the overseas.
