Chinese first division side Tianjin are targeting Denmark international Stig Tofting in a bid to bolster their squad, local media reported on Friday.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who now plays for English premiership outfit Bolton, will soon arrive in Tianjin for a ten- day trial on the team, said a story carried by the www. Sina.com website.
Tofting, a key member of the Danish squad at the 2002 World Cup finals, has won 41 caps for his country.
The Chinese soccer league resumed on Wednesday after a three- month break due to the SARS epidemic.
Tianjin now stay fourth from bottom in the 15-team league.
