China's national aviation carrier Air China promoted a series
of products Thursday, hoping to speed up the recovery of the domestic aviation market.
Air China will introduce a safe, healthy, comfortable and convenient travel
concept to passengers, according to an official with the company. Cabin air will
be totally renewed every three minutes during flights and a thorough
disinfection will be carried out before each flight. In-flight meals will be
provided by reputable companies following sanitary inspection.
To date, Air China has resumed over 200 domestic routes and added several new
routes. The airline also plans to open direct flights from Beijing to
Jiuzhaigou, a famous scenic spot in Sichuan province, in late September.
Air China is offering free delivery airline tickets and is planning to
establish electronic ticketing in some cities in July. The company is offering
promotional packages consisting of hotel accommodations and air travel, to
Germany, Singapore and the Republic of Korea. In addition, the airline will open
three weekly flights from Beijing to Kuala Lumpur.
Air China will provide reduced-price tickets for front-line SARS medical
staff, policemen and their relatives.
