Tropical storm to arrive in East China Sea

Tropical storm "Linfa", the fourth of its kind this year, is expected to arrive in the East China Sea on Thursday, according to the Central Meteorological Station Thursday morning.

By 8 a.m.,the eye of the storm was located at 22.1 degrees north latitude and 125.8 degrees east longitude, with fresh gales near the epicenter.

The storm will generate winds of gale force six to eight on the sea surface east of Taiwan and the northeastern area of the South China Sea as well as the southern area of the East China Sea on Thursday and Friday.
