HK rugby players confirmed killed in Bali blast
( 2002-10-16 09:13 ) (8 )

The Hong Kong Football Club confirmed here Tuesday that two of its members had been killed in Saturday's bomb attack in Bali.

Clive Walton, 33, and Peter Record, 32, were both British players at the Bali Rugby 10's Tournament, said the club, one of the 13 members of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union.

So far, their five teammates and two supporters, most of them British, aged from 28 to 39, were still missing and hopes of theirsurvival are fading.

"Whilst we continue to hold out hope of finding those still missing, each passing hour makes success all the more unlikely," Mark Pawley, general manager of the club told a press conference.
