Asian windsurfing championships set for South China city late March ( 2002-03-08 11:28 ) (8 ) The 2002 Asian windsurfing championships will be held at the Dameisha waters off southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, it was announced on Thursday. The annual Category A world-class event, first ever to be staged by China's mainland, will also serve as a qualifying event for the world championships. Expected to participate in the March 28-April 5 event are some 300 athletes and officials from 10 countries and regions, including former Olympic champion Lee Lai Shan from Hong Kong, China.
