Dali University selects “Miss Songkran”

The Miss Songkran Competition was held at Dali University on March 13, ynci reported.

The competition drew the attention of students from both domestic universities such as Dali University, Yunnan Ethnicity University, Yunnan Normal University, and Yuxi Normal University and Thailand’s Phranakhon Rajabhat University.

The competition included three parts: a self-introduction in both Chinese and Thai, a talent show and an evening dress show.

The Songkran Festival, which marks the beginning of the Thai New Year, is the grandest traditional festival in Thailand. The Miss Thailand pageant is a traditional part of the celebrations.

Sponsored by Dali University, the Miss Songkran competition is an annual event that has been held for five years in a row and has drawn the attention of all the students and teachers at the university.

The competition was organized by the International Exchanges and Cooperation Department and the Foreign Language School of Dali University. After fierce competition, the top three awards as well as three special awards such as “Most Talented Miss Songkran” were presented.
