Changsha parks welcome Lantern Festival

Major parks in Changsha city will prepare feasts for citizens on Feb 6 for the Lantern Festival. People can see the exhibit of lanterns, dragon dances, temple fairs and more.
Window of World in Changsha city will display the dragon dance. Visitors can watch with the purchase of a 50 yuan ticket at 6:00 pm. With local snacks in Changsha and folk acrobatics, such as spraying fire, sword swallowing and juggling, Window of World will continue the "Sanxiang temple fair", and invite citizens to enjoy the Lantern Festival there.
The provincial botanical garden will hold an activity to release butterflies at 10:38 on Feb 6. People with the garden ticket (20yuan/person) can take part in the activity.
The martyr park will light 21 groups of dragon lanterns at 19:00 that day. The highlight of the lantern show is the three super lantern groups. Citizens also can see the lanterns of twelve zodiac, cartoon and body shape features.
Huo Palace headquarters in Changsha city will hold a contest for eating rice glue balls at 17:30. During the activity, visitors can participate in ten traditional festival games. The first, second and third prizes will be chosen during the contest of eating rice glue balls.
