Yiyang bamboo artworks

Yiyang's bamboo art has a long history. It produces more than 800 bamboo woven articles, bamboo carvings and bamboo ornaments, of which the summer sleeping mats made of Shuizhu (a kind of bamboo named Phyllostachys heteroclada Oliver in Latin), furniture made of Xiaoyu bamboo and Yiyang paper umbrellas are the most famous ones.

Anhua pine needle tea

Anhua pine needle tea, one of the three famous teas in Hunan province, is made of thin and tender tea leaves in the high mountains of Anhua. It got such an interesting name for its shape of pine needles. The tea is clear with a faint aroma and tastes sweet and mellow.

Yiyang-brand fragrant glutinous rice cake with sesame seeds

Prepared with glutinous rice, sesame seeds and white sugar, Yiyang-brand fragrant glutinous rice cake with sesame seeds has a history of nearly 200 years. As an old famous-brand snack of China, the cake enjoys a high reputation in central and southern part of Hunan.
