Community parks in Changsha nominated for Chinese Model

According to Changsha urban management department on Dec 4, 2011, 39 projects including community parks construction in Changsha were nominated for the "China 2011 Model for Human Residential Environment" award.

Statistics show that nearly 300 street gardens and community gardens in Changsha were constructed by the end of 2011. There is a patch of public lawn or park after almost every square kilometer or less in the 242-square-kilometer urban area of Changsha. More community parks are planned for construction in Changsha next year.
