The Seventh China (Changsha) International Automobile Expo was held at Hunan International Conference and Exhibition Center from Dec 15 to 19, 2011.
It aimed to fulfill all levels of demand and was highly valued by domestic and foreign car-makers. The expo attracted over 650 cars from more than 200 enterprises. Twenty countries participated in the event. Covering an exhibition area of 90,000 square meters, it exhibited over 90 brands, received 500,000 visitors and about 1,200 journalists from over 310 domestic and international media channels, setting a new record in Changsha's auto expo industry.
Many newly developed cars made their debut in China via this expo.
The luxury lineup included Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Maserati.
Auto giants from Europe, USA and Japan such as Volkswagen, General Motor, Ford Motor, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Citroen, also gathered in Changsha to present their models.
Domestic auto makers including BYD, Chery, Geely, JAC and Great Wall Automobile displayed their top models at the expo.
Leading domestic auto makers including Canton Steam Group, FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Group and SAIC Group also competed against other manufacturers.
The new products and independently developed concept cars and new energy cars demonstrated the successful development of China's auto industry.
