China Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Fair held

The 2011 China (Changsha) Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Fair was held at Lu-valley Exhibition Center in Changsha from Nov 5-7. With the theme of "Industry-university-research-finance integration & science and technology start-ups in Changsha", the fair aimed to attract experts and advanced applicable technologies from domestic and abroad to Hunan.

A week-long indoor exhibition was held along with the two-day fair. The fair included an opening ceremony, science and technology exhibitions, the national "Thousand Talents Program", "Overseas high-caliber talents Visiting Changsha", and the "Chinese and Foreign Academicians and Experts Partnering for Biotech and Bio-industry development in Changsha".

Around 50,000 visitors attended the fair. More than 1,000 transformable science and technology achievements and over 300 technological requirements were collected for the event. Plans were underway to invite more than 60 universities and research institutions to participate in the fair. In addition, more than 5,000 participants from 1,000 hi-tech businesses, listed companies, science and technology intermediary organs and investing and financing institutions were present at the meeting.
