Changsha to produce 75,000 cars in 2012

On Jan 13, Zhang Jianfei, deputy secretary of the CPC Changsha municipal committee and mayor of Changsha, called departments to fully support and promote the production of Changsha BYD Auto.

This is for water, electricity, road construction, fire protection, sewage treatment and staff training. Zhang made the remarks during an on-the-spot working meeting, where he also gave individual suggestions on existing problems hindering the production.

According to chiefs of Changsha BYD Auto Co., Ltd., after receiving the official approval of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Dec 30, 2011, the company has been preparing for the production in full swing. The company is projected to produce 75,000 passenger cars and 1,500 electrical buses by the end of 2012. Passenger cars include three types, M6, L6, and F0, with an output value of over 4 billion yuan. What's more, the company will start to produce spare parts.
