Lenin's hometown to host an exhibition of Mao Zedong

Shaoshan county in Hunan province is the home town of Mao Zedong and signed a cooperation agreement recently with Vladimir Lenin's hometown to exchange experience.

The agreement touched upon the collaboration in exhibition hosting and scientific research and was signed during a visit from a Chinese delegation to Ulyanovs.

According to Gennady Zhuravlev, the minister of Arts and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk, Lenin Memorial Hall will host a photo exhibition of Mao. Both parties will hopefully launch online exchanges on the birthdays of Mao Zedong and Vladimir Lenin.

They are also preparing to jointly organize international exhibitions in Ulyanovsk so as to promote cultural connections.

The Chinese delegation has attached great importance to joint scientific research activities and the two-side-plan to co-publish books in honor of the 120th anniversary (2013) of the birth of Mao Zedong and 145th anniversary (2015) of Vladimir Lenin's birthday.
