Xiao Wenwei appointed as party secretary of Hunan's highway management bureau

The party committee of Hunan province appointed Xiao Wenwei as party secretary of the highway management bureau for the province.

Xiao Wenwei, Ethnic Han, born in Aug 1968 and from Loudi, has a MBA degree and is a mechanical engineer. He was vice mayor of Zhuzhou before assuming the post of party secretary of the highway management bureau.

He has been an engineer of the power plant, vice manager of the sales company and manager of the import and export corporation of Lianyuan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. He has also been assistant general manager of the group and a director of Southern Building Materials Co., Ltd.

According to Zhuzhou's municipal government website, as vice mayor of the city, Xiao Wenwei was in charge of industry, information, and the supervision of state-owned assets. He also took care of private business, transportation, power, communications, postal services, quality and technology supervision, food and drug administration and statistical affairs.
