She wakes early each morning, about 5 am, and works on her creation for the whole day until her body feels really tired.
She believes strongly in the need to embrace nature and love life and that is reflected in her artwork.
"People are making themselves too tired, too materialistic and life becomes quite boring in this way," she said.
One of Kong Ning's favorite artists is Van Gogh.
"I love his purity, he expresses his real feelings and emotions directly and heartily without any commercial intentions."
Kong Ning is like Van Gogh in some ways as she pursues art crazily and purely. A true artist.
Kong Ning was once a lawyer and worked at People's Procuratorate of Beijing Municipality. Her paintings sometimes express fear and pain, reflecting parts of her previous life experience.
She was born in Manzhouli, a once remote place in far Northeast China. When working in the procuratorate, she personally witnessed the death of 34 criminals which shocked the fragile and sensitive young woman. She felt dizzy, sick, and had a fever. She later became a lawyer, and defended prisoners.
