China National Museum showcases anti-smuggling efforts

The China National Museum is hosting an exhibition showcasing the country's efforts in the fight against the smuggling of cultural relics across the border over the past six decades.

The month-long exhibition features more than 100 pieces confiscated by Customs or retrieved from other countries through legal and diplomatic channels, along with photos, graphics and archives about the country's entry-exit management of cultural relics since 1952.

Over the past decades, Customs have prevented more than 1 million pieces of cultural relics from being smuggled out of the country through cooperation with cultural heritage administrations, according to the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
