Young artist Xu Dongqing will hold her first solo art exhibition Song of Blue Bird at the Manet Art Space in Beijing.
The exhibition will showcase about 60 gongbi (fine-brush) ink paintings and a dozen xieyi (free-hand brushwork) paintings, which Xu has created over the past 14 years.
Xu is known for her vivid, poetic depiction of birds, flowers and landscapes, often inspired by classical Chinese literature.
