1990 is a photo project started by Zhang Jingran, focusing on the post-90s generation. The photos depict members of the generation in their daily lives, along with another, private side, unknown to the public. Their living conditions and future goals were also shown during the shooting.
In Zhang's view, home is the most important place for an individual. It contains personal emotions, such as happiness, irritation and pressure, and is a place for each one to be unmasked. As the post-90s generation becomes middle-aged and the backbone of society, they are facing more pressure than before.
