The fashion show during South Africa Fashion Week featured 30 costumes designed by Chu, attracting many local designers and about 400 visitors.
With bright colors and elegant and fine tailoring, Chu's designs were specially favored by Mauritius President Ameenah Gurib who met Chu on April 3.
Gurib highly praised the contribution from the Chinese embassy to Mauritius and Chinese Cultural Center in Mauritius to the cultural exchanges between the two nations. She said the Chinese Culture Talk can help locals learn more about traditional Chinese culture.
