The 2nd national summer camp for dancers from China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) was launched, respectively, in Dehong and Honghe, Yunnan province, on July 16.
A total of 100 teachers and students majored in dancing, from 14 Chinese provinces and cities and 10 CEEC countries participated in the camp. Participants were divided into two groups; one went to the camp in Dehong and the other to Honghe, where they will conduct field research and talk to Yunnan artists. After that, the two groups will meet in Guizhou and collectively create new dances.
The summer camp event was first launched in 2015 to provide a platform for dancers from China and CEEC countries to have deeper communication and cooperation in the field of dance, such as in cultivating dancers and creating dances.
This year, the camp aims to create some modern dances in a Chinese style.
