"Stomp", a unique combination of percussion and visual comedy, will be staged in Beijing on July 17.
Created in Brighton, UK, in the summer of 1991, the show is the result of a 10-year collaboration between its creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas.
They first worked together in 1981, as members of the street band Pookiesnackenburger and the theater group Cliff Hanger. Together, these groups presented a series of street comedy musicals at the Edinburgh Festival throughout the early 1980s.
The piece was originally written and choreographed by Cresswell as part of the band's stage show.
7:30 pm, July 17, PLA Theater, 60 Deshengmennei Street, Xicheng district, Beijing. 4006-228-228.
