Five Uzbek films are being shown to Chinese audiences at the 2016 Uzbekistan Film Festival from June 28 to July 7 in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an, respectively.
The festival is jointly organized by China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and Uzbekistan's film department after top leaders from both countries agreed to boost exchanges and cooperation in the field of cinema.
The films In Life, Father, Magic Hat, Well and Ignorance, which focus on different themes and styles, have all achieved box-office success in Uzbekistan.
Film department officials, directors and distributors from both countries attended the festival's opening ceremony at a cinema in downtown Beijing on June 28.
