Although the long journey to China was very tiring, CEEC students were still in the best of spirits. After the opening ceremony, they made their study plan in a group and visited the Xi’an Folk and Arts Museum.

“I’m so lucky to get such a chance to study in China. Despite the time difference, I don’t feel tired at all. I’m eager to take all the courses since I arrived here, especially the Chinese Kung Fu and calligraphy,” Rajo, a student from Latvia, told the journalist.

In recent years, the Chinese government has paid greater attention to culture exchanges with Central and Eastern European countries. During the 3rd session of the China﹣CEEC Leaders Meeting in December 2014 , Chinese Premier Li Keqiang signed the Belgrade Outline of China﹣CEEC Cooperation with the participating leaders.

In the culture part of this outline, item seven has clearly indicated the 1st China﹣CEEC Summer Dance Camp is to be organized, as a part of the deepening of culture exchanges.
