Modernsky Record, one of China's biggest indie labels, will hold a two-day music festival, Modern Sky Festival Helsinki 2015, on Aug 28-29 in Telakkaranta, a leisure site in Finland's capital, Helsinki.
In cooperation with Helsinki Festival and Live Music Association, a Finnish group, the festival is themed "new Asia meets new Nordic" with lineups from China and Europe, including Nova Heart, Re-Tros, Lust for Youth and The Hearing.
It will be the first time for Modernsky Record to take a music festival to Europe. The record company, which was founded in 1997 by Shen Lihui, a well-known Chinese rocker, holds two major outdoor gigs annually — Strawberry Music Festival and Modernsky Music Festival.
