Thangkas on show
Shanghai's La Legende gallery holds a long-term thangka exhibition that showcases 99 quality thangka paintings that show Tibet's religion, history, traditions and customs. Thangka, included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list, is a religious scroll painting of vibrant colors which is mounted with colorful satin and hung for worship. The Chinese traditional painting artist Tang Tianyuan, a frequent traveler to the Tibet autonomous region, also launched his new paintings about Buddhism and the Tibetan plateau at the gallery.
