Discipline helps unite Party
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Communist Party of China's top anti-corruption watchdog, announced on Monday that Sun Zhengcai, the former Party chief of Chongqing, was being investigated on suspicion of serious discipline violations. This once again demonstrates the unwavering determination of the Party's Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core to promote stricter governance of the Party.
The investigation of Sun also indicates that the top leadership's fight against corruption is still ongoing and its campaign for honest and clean governance of the Party will not cease.
Strict discipline serves as an important guarantee for the whole Party to unite its will. The investigations into a series of senior Party and military officials, such as Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, Xu Caihou, Guo Boxiong and Ling Jihua, for their violations of Party rules or the nation's laws, testifies that the Party's leadership will by no means allow any individual or group to be free from the restraints of the Party's discipline. Anyone, no matter how senior, will be severely punished once they are confirmed to have violated Party discipline or the law.
