Church slated for new roof as villagers have their cake and eat it

An edible auction has left a village in central England relishing the prospect of sinking their teeth into a plan to renovate the local church.

A model of the entire village of Youlgrave in Derbyshire has been created in mouthwatering detail, a task that has taken local resident Lynn Nolan six months to complete.

Some of the pieces will be auctioned to raise money to pay for a new roof for All Saint's Parish Church, one of the focal points in Youlgrave.
