CPC seeks closer links with parties in Hungary

The Communist Party of China is ready to carry out dialogues and exchanges with the political parties in Hungary to strengthen friendship and understanding between the two peoples, a senior Party official said on Thursday.

Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the statement when he met with Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Laszlo Kover.

Liu spoke highly of the development of bilateral ties, saying the two countries have seen frequent high-level contacts, enhanced mutual trust and close cooperation in areas like trade, tourism and culture.
