Boston Scientific increases R&D expenditure and values cooperation with local partners
Boston Scientific Corp, a global developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices headquartered in the United States, has adapted itself to the dynamic Chinese market by putting innovation at the center of its strategy.
Supratim Bose, executive vice-president of Boston Scientific and president of the company's operations in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, said that the Chinese market differs from other markets in a number of ways, including its healthcare infrastructure, customer demand and market segmentation. This means companies need to be both open minded and flexible if they wish to succeed there.
