Suspect in killing of children linked to 2nd attack

A man who allegedly murdered two children and injured four others in his village on Sunday is also suspected in another attack in a nearby city on the same day that left an elderly man dead and a child in critical condition, local police in Jiangsu province confirmed on Tuesday.

The suspect, Xu Zengzhi, 46, was in police custody in Pizhou county, where the first attack occurred.

Xu told police that his wife had run away from home and he suspected that his neighbors were responsible for it, according to a statement on Tuesday from Pizhou police.
