Suspect held after two children killed

Police in Beijing have arrested a 46-year-old man from Pizhou, Jiangsu province, who is a suspect in the slayings of two children and in the serious assaults of four other minors.

Xu Zengzhi was arrested as he got off a train in the capital after a seven-hour manhunt.

Xu, who lives in Xukou village, was apprehended at 11:30 pm on Sunday at Beijing South Railway Station. Officers handed him over to police in Jiangsu for further investigation, according to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.
