Market rebound expected to continue
Chinese mainland stocks sagged on Tuesday as investors took profit from a 2 percent jump the day before, but some analysts expect market enthusiasm to continue ahead of an annual meeting by China's top legislature that starts in early March.
By the lunch break, both the blue-chip CSI300 index and the Shanghai Composite Index lost 1.3 percent, to 3,079.10 points and 2,890.29 points, respectively. The CSI300 index and the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,903.33 and 3,089.36, down 0.81 percent and 0.95 percent, respectively
Hong Kong stocks tracked mainland markets lower, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index declining 0.25 percent.
