Gu Chunli is highest official in province to be accused, top anti-corruption watchdog says
Gu Chunli, deputy governor of Jilin province, has been placed under investigation on suspicion of corruption as China's anti-graft campaign reaches more areas.
Gu, 58, the highest ranking official accused in the province since the campaign started in late 2012, was said to have "seriously violated Party discipline and laws", according to a statement published by Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the top anti-graft authority. No further details were available.
