8-year-old boy killed in landslide, four injured

An 8-year-old boy died and four other people were injured in a landslide on Wednesday evening in Wushan county, Chongqing.

The landslide occurred at 6:40 pm on the northern bank of the Daning River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, the Civil Affairs Bureau said.

The force of the landslide created a wave 6 meters high that caused a river patrol vessel and seven small fishing boats and five agricultural boats to capsize. Several unmanned berthed boats slipped their moorings.
